Porsche Club Praha Cars & Coffee - 03/06/2023

Liblice castle, Czech Republic

Saturday, June 6th, Porsche Club Praha kept faith to its tradition and met once again at its main annual gathering in the beautiful gardens of Liblice Castle, close to the wine-city of Mělník.

This event was held in cooperation with the local Porsche Center and sponsored by many top brands, including TAG-Heuer.

We left Prague with Bellatrix in a sunny morning, to be at the venue before 10:00. In the eve, we popped-up to help the organisers with the fine tuning, to made sure that everything was precisely set-up for the participants' arrival.

Contrary to the previous edition, the weather was excellent during the whole day, so we could enjoy the walk-around the cars the refreshments, especially a tasty barbecue on the terrace of the castle in the early evening, which was be reserved only for club members, whereas friends and guests were invited for the activities of the morning-afternoon.

In fact, this Cars & Coffee is designed as "open", i.e. Porsche owners outside PCP could also register. This gave a chance to PCP to introduce the club (all its lovely members, and their beautiful cars) and to have the opportunity to meet suitable new applicants and establishing useful connections with like-minded friends, for the benefit of our hobby.

Last but not least, as usual, a "marketing" event was financed by our sponsors: a "QR code - online" competition centered on the knowledge of the brand and his history and a "concour d'elegance" (we won the second prize in this, with some nice goodies)!

We mentioned a "colorful" event; indeed it was; cars were placed in thematic displays in the park with some descriptive text paced in front of them.

The commented promenade of selected cars was hosted by a local TV personality and animated, as last year, by Michal S., a young car entrepreneur; not only passionate but also extremely knowledgeable and with outstanding speaking skills.

Being a "cars-on-the-lawn" the atmosphere of a "concour d'elegance" was there and a detailing workshop was indeed much appreciated ... especially since the pollen falling copiously from the trees of the park.

In the end 78 Porsches passed through the gate and 132 people passed through. Of these, 67 remained for the evening grill.

Here below some pics; you can find more of the event and some video too at our instagram account!
