CAR ART: olio motore su tela
Speed Dates
Car & Arts festival
Speed Dates is an event funded by two well-connected Czech enthousiasts, Pavel Flegl and Vaclav Krejci. Their aim is to connect petrol enthusiasts to share a passion for fast-moving objects of desire. To this purpose, they blend classic motorheads parihernalia with connected artistic cultural elements.
When possible, we love attending those events and meeting like-minded old friends or making new ones.
Asylum – The Colors of Speed (2023)
This edition took place on Saturday, May 6th in the dilapidated industrial complex of Papirna Perla, in Vrane nad Vltavou, Czech Republic.
As usual, it was open to owners of classic and sportscars / motorbikes of all brands. We arrived in our daily driver BMW and took place in the free parking space.
In such an industrial trash-chic atmosphere, with the bare concrete multi-level floors literally packed with art, booze, music and cars, Asylum was an absolute thrill ride from start to finish.Analog Affair (2024)
This time, the rdv was set in Prague for May, 25th in the market hangars at Tržnice Holešovice. A day full of temptations for everyone who knows their car is not just a machine. We were asked to display our Bellatrix and we we were very pleased to accepted the kind offer.
One of the highlight was the exhibition of Bart Kuykens, whose works we had the chance to be exposed at "Porsche, driven by dreams" show at Autoworld Brussels some months before.
Bart is not only a nice guy, but also one of the most renowned photographers in the Porsche community.
His work captures the intimate bond between the cars and their owners, each with its distinct patina signature.
Other treats included the usual Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur pop-up, the KodlContemporary "Rainbow Porsches" ; the "911 Dakar" installation; Travis o’Neill acoustic performance and more.
