A Celebration of Speed and Heritage

The Brno Circuit roared to life on September 20–21, 2025, as it hosted the second edition of the Porsche Festival — a vibrant gathering for Porsche owners, fans, and motorsport enthusiasts. This year’s event was more than just a race weekend; it was a full-scale celebration of the Porsche brand, blending high-octane competition with community spirit, exclusive exhibitions, and family-friendly entertainment.

The Porsche Festival was designed by Porsche Inter Auto CZ, official importer of Porsche cars to the Czech Republic as a true celebration for all ages. Visitors could admire a parade of Porsche cars around the circuit, explore an exclusive exhibition of both historic and modern models, and participate in a variety of interactive activities.

While absent last year, we joined the 2025 edition with our wild "Bellatrix", the intimidating, black, 964 Turbo 3.6, as part of the huge delegation of the Porsche Club Prague.

After the rushed arrival on Friday night and the warm welcome of the Porsche crew, just the time to peep on the marvels just offloaded from the truck of the Porsche Museum and we were ferried by a young and brilliant new recruit to our hotel in Brno.

The castle of the Spielberg look at us from above down to the window of our room ... the tired body trying to sleep while that image let our brain roaming free and paying homage to those 19th century patriots we have learned at school ... Pellico, Maroncelli and the others would be happy to see that war and hate among the nations of Central Europe eventually gave place to love & friendship thanks to our favourite car brand.

The Legendary Brno Circuit

The Brno Circuit, also known as the Masaryk Circuit, is a legendary motorsport venue in the Czech Republic. Originally established in 1930 as a street circuit, it evolved through several configurations before the modern permanent track opened in 1987. The original layout was a daunting 29.194 km long with 128 turns, making it one of the most challenging circuits of its times.

Together with Spa Francorchamps, we believe it is the most fascinating and challenging to drive in Europe (Nordschleife being a category apart).

Like the city of Brno, the circuit itself has rooted ties with Italy: a pivotal moment in the circuit’s history occurred in 1949 when Giuseppe "Nino" Farina crashed his Maserati during the Czechoslovakian Grand Prix. The accident tragically killed two spectators and injured twelve others.

In 2010, a monument was unveiled at the site of the crash to commemorate the incident and its impact on motorsport safety awareness.

Festival Kickoff: A Roaring Start

Guest started to pour in the venue at the canonical 09:11 in the morning ... we had been busy for some time already with the last-minute frantic fine tuning of the parking lot in front of the main stage: rational Teutonic efficiency over Italian messy creativity.

Bellatrix is always a darling of the crowd and therefore was displayed in a central position, near the main DJ set, together with some special 911 owned by other members of the club.

Just to mention some of the most outstanding cars which were close to Bellatrix: a tangerine 1970 911, a "quasi ex-works" specimen, driven to victory by the Polish legend Sobiesław Zasada brought by with his current care-taker from Warsaw; a truly unique 991 Speedster built on special specifications by Porsche Exclusive ... just the list of the "X" specs would be longer than this whole article; a 997 GT3 RS MKII with her iconic white / red livery.

Not event the time to take a breath and here is introduction of the activities by the brand top management and media hosts; a roar announces a visit from the sky: no worries, we are not under attack ... fireworks and confetti dropping from historic Czechoslovak planes ... even the drones are friendly today ... just recording the amazement of the crowd for the posterity.

One of the major difficulties of the motorsport and motoring world is to reconcile the passion of (one of both parents) with the rest of the family: two days of cars drooling can take a toll on kids tolerance: This is why Porsche CZ has added a "Family Zone" area: creative workshops, racing simulators, a pump track for kids to keep our real treasures busy.

Porsche Experience rides took place on the normal roads around the Brno circuit and on track: driving in a convoy under the guidance of instructors at the wheel of various models of 992, Taycan and Panamera.

Between activities, while the body was resting, the soul was taken care of by young but extremely competent DJs and live concerts: the Amusement Park Band trio is a name to retain!

Cars are driven but even more often talked about: here come the "Porsche Talks": sessions with special guests and automotive experts, including our friends V.H. (a well known driver's coach) and J.P., the flamboyant art director of Moser glasswork, now a brand ambassador for Porsche.

The sporting centerpiece of the festival was the grand finale of the Porsche Sprint Challenge Central Europe. The championship, featuring the legendary Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, brought together drivers from across the region to battle for the season’s final points and championship titles. The races included two sprints and an endurance event, with categories for Overall, ProAM, AM, and Masters drivers. Local favourites drew enthusiastic support from the home crowd.

We, as participants of the Porsche Festival, had the chance to attend the "Pit Lane and Grid Walks" unique opportunities to get close to the action and to ... the grid girls.

Nighttime Wonders and Stuttgart's Treasures

Suddenly comes the night: we are a couple of days shy of the Autumn Equinox. While druids would have lit bonfires in the forests, we settled for a more profane BBQ ... the Porsche Festival after party is starting ... dance, chats, innocent flirts for somebody ... but we cannot help by being obsessed about what we had a glimpse on the arrival night and everybody had the chance to look at (but not necessarily ... see) on daylights.

The night is when the senses come alive, ready for experiences we’re not afraid to call “mystical.” While most people were sleeping, eating, or drinking, a handful of hardliners quietly slipped away to the “forbidden cave”—the exclusive Porsche Museum display. There, we were overwhelmed by a true Stendhal syndrome, standing in awe before masterpieces like the 935/78 “Moby Dick” and the two 996 GT1s. It was a unique opportunity to compare the infamous 1997 and 1998 versions side by side. Not a single devilish detail went unchecked. If you know, you know; otherwise, you must see it for yourself to understand. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.

Eventually, it was time to go to bed. We were tempted to rest on the tent pitched atop a Cayenne, gazing at our cars under a star-filled Indian summer sky. But reason prevailed, and we returned to our hotel for some well-earned rest.

Day Two: Parade and Farewell

No track event is complete without a parade—so let the Porsche Parade begin! Hundreds of multicoloured sports cars, from the earliest F-models to the latest 992 GT3 RS and ST, created a spectacle that words can hardly capture.

After the parade, it was time for the People’s Choice Award, which went to a stunning 993 4S in a striking hue. With the festival drawing to a close, a couple of hundred kilometres awaited Bellatrix. We had a treat in store for her: instead of the crowded motorway, we took the scenic B-roads, winding through the Moravian and Bohemian countryside, following rivers, crossing forests, and passing castles, lakes, and ponds.

As we enjoyed the drive, our minds lingered on the festival—a celebration that fostered a strong sense of community among Porsche owners, fans, and brand employees alike. The message was clear: Porsche is not just about the car—it’s about joining a passionate, global family.
