Interclassics Maastricht 2014
The 22nd edition of InterClassics Maastricht 2015 solidified its status as the ultimate capital for European classic car connoisseurs. Held from January 8–11, 2015, at the MECC Maastricht, the event smashed its previous records by drawing 26,381 passionate visitors and over 300 elite international exhibitors.
Expectations were truly sky-high, so we simply couldn't miss the automotive exhibition in the Dutch university city on the border with Belgium and Germany.
The 2015 edition captivated the public by split-focusing on two highly evocative themes:
The exhibition floors were packed with highly exclusive, investment-grade machinery. The crown jewel of the Jaguar display was an authentic, legendary Jaguar D-Type, celebrated for its aerodynamic fin and 1950s Le Mans dominance. The Million-Dollar Masterpiece: A breathtaking Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta 'Passo Corto' (SWB) stole the spotlight, representing the absolute pinnacle of Italian GT design and classic market valuation.
The Grand Prix display featured a pristine 1948 Maserati 4CLT, reminding purists of Italy's foundational role in post-war single-seater racing.
A rare Bugatti Type 57, featuring bespoke coachwork, anchored the pre-war high-end market segment. The Ultimate Luxury.
What sets Maastricht apart is its dual nature as both a museum-grade exhibition and a high-velocity marketplace. InterClassics 2015 reported unprecedented trading volume, with multi-million euro transactions taking place right on the show floor. From pristine classic Porsches and Alfa Romeos ready for the Mille Miglia, to rare automobilia and hard-to-find spare parts, the event proved that the global appetite for premium classic cars was stronger than ever.
