Antwerp Classic Salon 2016

Celebration of speed and style

The 39th Antwerp Classic Salon 2016 delivered a spectacular, high-octane celebration of speed and style. Staged from March 4–6, 2016, at the Antwerp Expo in Belgium, this legendary event firmly established itself as a must-visit destination for European classic car enthusiasts. We live for rich racing heritage and pristine automotive engineering and, this 2016 edition, was an absolute masterclass in classic car culture.

The 2016 salon captivated the crowds by dedicating its main themes to pure performance and timeless design.

The History of the Belgian Grand Prix: Organizers paid a roaring tribute to the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The exhibition featured an exceptional lineup of historic Formula 1 cars, tracking the evolution of single-seater engineering from dangerous open-wheelers to high-downforce monsters.

50 Years of the Alfa Romeo Duetto: Celebrating a half-century of Italian open-top perfection, the show honored the iconic Duetto Spider. The display tracked the model's history from its 1966 launch, capturing the hearts of every nostalgic in attendance. And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson!

The halls of the Antwerp Expo were packed with highly exclusive, investment-grade machinery: the crown jewel of the Grand Prix display was a legendary Ferrari Formula 1 car, representing Italy's golden eras of motorsport engineering and raw racetrack speed. A rare Porsche 906 (Carrera 6) stole the spotlight, showcasing the lightweight, plastic-bodied engineering that dominated international sports car racing in the mid-1960s. The exhibition floor featured ultra-rare pre-war masterpieces, including highly coveted models from Bugatti and Rolls-Royce, demonstrating coachbuilt elegance at its absolute peak.

What makes the Antwerp Classic Salon an essential stop for us is its massive commercial scale. Across four sprawling halls, over 350 international exhibitors created a high-velocity marketplace. Hundreds of classic cars from Porsche, Jaguar, and BMW were offered for sale. Additionally, the event hosted a massive "Autojumble" section, packed with rare original spare parts, historic automobilia, and vintage literature for dedicated restorers.
