Jaguar Racing Heritage: 80 Years of Speed

The main attraction of the 2015 show was a jaw-dropping tribute to Jaguar's 80th Anniversary in Motorsport. Organized in cooperation with major clubs, the central display showcased the British brand's transition from elegant pre-war roadsters to fire-breathing Le Mans prototypes.

Key highlights on display included:

  • Jaguar SS100 Roadster: The pre-war icon that defined early British sports car aesthetics.
  • Jaguar XK120: A pristine original example showcasing post-war experimental speed.
  • E-Type Semi-Lightweight: A legendary race-spec adaptation engineered for sheer track performance.
  • XJ12C Broadspeed & XJS TWR: The heavy-hitting touring cars that dominated European circuits.
  • Jaguar-Cosworth R5: A raw, modern Formula 1 beast that injected pure Grand Prix adrenaline into the main hall.

While the British roared, the Italians brought timeless flair and milestone celebrations to the Benelux crowd.

  • 60 Years of the Fiat 600: The show dedicated a special feature area to the microcar that put post-war Italy on wheels, drawing massive crowds of nostalgic collectors.
  • The Custom and Club Scene: Dozens of highly active Belgian classic clubs packed the halls, filling their booths with everything from rare Abarth-tuned speeders to meticulously preserved Alfa Romeo Montreals.

Inside the "Autojumble" and Sales MarketAntwerp is famously a "buying salon." Nearly all of the 300+ classic cars on display carried a price tag, sparking high-stakes negotiations right on the showroom floor.Beyond the vehicles, the event featured a massive "Autojumble" market. Collectors scoured endless rows of hard-to-find mechanical components, period-correct documentation, vintage scale models, and automotive artwork. It provided the ultimate hunting ground for anyone currently tackling a complex garage restoration project.
