1970 - THE NEW PORSCHE 911
According to its original FAHRZEUG-AUFTRAG (factory order), this stunning vehicle named "Devana" rolled off the assembly line on May 15, 1970. It was built specifically for its first fortunate owner in the USA, who commissioned it in a gleaming Conda Green finish complemented by a classy beige leatherette interior. The original options list was spare, limited only to colored glass and an external left manual antenna, keeping the car pure and focused.
Mechanically, Devana features the Type 911/01 five-speed manual gearbox, arranged in the classic "dogleg" pattern with first gear situated low and to the left. The heart of the machine is the Type 911/02 six-cylinder boxer engine, featuring a dry-sump magnesium-alloy case and fed by a precise Bosch mechanical fuel injection system with six individual throttle bodies. The 1970 2.2 S models represent a pinnacle of the early 911s—the final "high compression" variants before stringent smog regulations mandated changes. This potent engine produces 180 horsepower, delivering its best performance above 5000 rpm.
While the original customer tire choice was Pirelli 185/70 15 all-round, Devana currently wears Dunlop 195/65 R15 tires—a dimension now recommended and officially approved by Porsche for optimal performance and safety.
Today, Devana stands in immaculate condition, a testament to a meticulous, total restoration completed in 2018 by a renowned specialist in Central Europe. The car has seen little use since. No detail was spared or overlooked during the process, resulting in a show-quality vehicle.
December 2025: acquisition, 3000 km at the odometer.
